DNE Drug & Alcohol Task Force held a Family Support Networking Event on the 22nd May in Le Chéile Donnycarney.
The event was attended by numerous agencies in the area that provide family support and related services. Amy Fogarty, play therapist with Preparing for Life in Darndale which is a Task Force funded project, gave us a fascinating and informative overview of her agency’s work and play therapy.
Sarah Jane Leonard (HSE Addiction Social Inclusion service) explained the strategic vision for family support in Dublin North.
Brenda Browne, of Kilbarrack Coast Community Programme and Family Support Coordinator for Dublin North East, gave us an overview of Family Support and service provision locally.
Our own Vanessa Hoare, Drive Liaison for our area, gave us an overview of support available for drug related intimidation.
